Anyone do the MKIII motor and tranny in their 89-95 Toyota pickup? I found a bunch of sites that had tech articles for the swap on lifted yotas but none on a bagged truck. My question is, is there a company that makes a motor/tranny mount kit? Will the oil pan/tranny clear the ground on a truck that lays frame? Any help would be cool
Am I the first???? lol theres no way.
mk3 out of a jetta? its fwd why would you do that?
no the MKIII out of the older supras.
The MKIII refers to the older body supra, I guess I shouldve just said that or gave the engine name.. the 7M-GE
a friend of mine did it in his 4x4 4runner and it fit in there ok, only thing is you might have some oil pan issues but nothing that is too bad. the motor and tranny mounts i would just say fab up on your own then you can get it as low as possible for hood clearance.
Casey its possible but you will probably have to do quiet of bit of fab and modification. Go to supratrucks.com they have one on there, its not lifted or lowered just a regular truck. Check it out.
the 84-88 frames are the same as the 89-94 & if i remember right, loasian is putting a supra motor in his 84...talk to him & he'll point you in the right direction.
good luck!
Yeah I know Loasian is but hes doing the next gen swap, I dont think its the same motor/trans?
