i finally got my fuel cell for my mazda, but I have a slight problem. I got it with a 0-90 gm style sending unit. I got an auto meter guage for the same thing. My problem is with the fuel cell sending unit. It's got three spots for wire. which wire goes where? I know one is for 12 V power, one for ground and one goes to the gauge, but I dont know which goes where, and it didn't come with a diagram. Any help would have my truck running..

The Connectors on the back of the gauge should be labeled S, + and -. The S goes to the sending unit, the - goes to the ground post on the fuel cell sending unit, and the + is the 12v ignition source.

hah..sorry, I'm tired...

if it's like most sending units, the bolt is the S lead from the gauge, and the spade connector is the ground..i dont know what the 3rd spot on the sending unit would be for though...

my guess would be the power wire since the sending unit is a resistor it needs something to resist

thats why I dont understand the need for a 3rd post on the sending unit..the S lead from the gauge is the hot lead from the gauge to the sending unit, then the unit ground going to the - on the gauge completes the circuit..
