YES THE DURANGO WILL HANDLE IT AS LONG AS IT DOESNT HAVE THE 4.7 YOU'LL NEED THE 5.2 OR THE 5.9 WHICH IS WHAT I HAVE I TOW A NISSAN WITH A 16 FOOTER ON SATURDAY A 260 MILE ROUND TRIP AND AVERAGED 12.6 MPG THEW THE MOUNTAINS IN MONTANA

I towed my s-10 on a 1200 mile round trip with my 4.7 no problems other than shitty braking of course

yeah the brakes on durangos/dakota really really suck, we had to change the caliper on my buddies durango tonight cause it locked up from him on the way home from work, let me tell you doing that shit on the side of the road in the rain sucks... he had the same thing happen on his dakota too
