I have a 65 inch CRT Hitachi in my living room and I am very happy with it. Plus the Hitachis are fairly cheap and I have no complaints at all. And a JVC 32 inch LCD in my bedroom. Dont care much for it. I just dont think the price was worth($500 more than my Hitachi 65)

I have an LG 44" LCD projection, and I really like it. Not a full-on flat panel, but only about 12" deep, and fits perfectly on my stand.
However, GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!! I have only had it 1-1/2 years, and Best Buy had to replace the "light engine" in it about 4 months ago- I don't know what a light engine is, but I saw an invoice for it for $1100.00!!!!

Good luck with your purchase- just make sure you've got a spare hdmi port on the back for your PS3!

I have a 46" Toshiba rear projection HDTV..I have no complaints at all...a salesman told me that the rear projection tv are more reliable than the LCD, plasma, or DLP tv's...and I know now the TV that I paid 1100 bux for is only 799 at some places around here

I just bought a Hitachi 42" plasma, and I got a HD antenna so I can get the HD channels in my area for free, its a badass tv, only 4.5" depth.
I check out cnet.com to look at the rates on tv before I bought one

I just got a 42 inch Samsung plasma with burn in protection about 2 month's ago. I got it from Circuit City with a 5 year warranty and stand for $1800. If you go plasms definately get the burn in protection. If you watch the same channel alot or play alot of video games sometime they screen will get burned. So if you play Madden alot you will see the score board in the corner why you are watching Monster garage. I love my plasma. It's only 42 but it fills my living room up very well.

if you dont have a big issue w. depth of the tv, you can get so much more TV for the $ w. rear projection, but get a Rear projection LCD.

But when I move home im buying a 42"+ flat panel plasma. now-a-days they run from $1,200 and up, price depends on price and if it's LCD or a plasma.

LCD has a stuttering/lagging affect when it comes to high action scenes. hints why im buying a plasma.
