i was thinking of something like that... i just dont want it to affect the pinion too much. by doind that, its not gonna cause that much stress on where its bolted to the motor causing problems is it??

lifted my entire engine and tranny because the engine oil pan hit and the tranny case hit(this wasn't in a s-10 but was a s-10 engine) i lifted the tranny like 2.5 in and the engine 1.75 and my pinion wasn't affected enough for me to have any notioceable differances.

is it a little bitty piece of the tranny that hands down.. kinda in a U shape? i think there is a hole in it? maybe not, i dont remember.. there is on the 5 speeds on the 4 cylinders.. if it is.. drag that bitch off, it doesnt hold anything.
if not, take a pic of what you're dragging, might be a harmless piece.

i used a peice of neoprene to make a new mount for my caddy, it rasised it up like an inch and a half and doesnt sag or flex.

i had the same problem. i have to raise the whole assembly up like 1.5". if you rasie the tranny to much it will screw with the engine fluids.
