so i checked out my brake pads and drums everythign seems fine, i bleed the breaks, the peddle is still dropping all the way to the floor with out any pressure behind it, when i was bleeding the brakes, i had someone stepping on the peddle while the valve were open, and brake fluid was comming through the lines, they still do not work, whats my next step?

Make sure there pushing the petal in and holding it. If there is a valve open when the petal is released then it sucks air back in. I've learned the best way to bleed brakes is by gravity bleeding them. Just open all the valves. Let them run for a little while. Close them up. I've never had any luck with someone pushing the petal.

I ran into the same problem with my car...turns out I had a bad master cylinder. Give that a shot.

Go outside, pump the pedal a few times till its pretty stiff, then press and hold it. Step on it pretty hard and notice if it slowly goes down. If so your master cyl is shot. Also when bleeding your brakes you are working from farthest tire from the cycl to the closest right?

ya farthest being passenger rear, ending driver side front... the brake pedal only seems to be stiff when the truck is off and not in gear..

Probably a bad master. The seal on the pump is probably leaking. New ones, or reman. ones arent that expensive.

could it be a bad brake booster?
