i have a 2000 s-10 amd iam relocating my tank into the bed i have to bring up a return and supply line. what is the best type of hose to use to extend the lines any help would be great i have a show this weekend that ian trying to go to thanks mike...
take sample pieces of ur old line bring it to the parts store and match it with new rubber gasline make sure to tell them it is for gas line. "???"
save yourself some trouble and get yourself a fuel cell. plus it will look tons better than the orginal gas tank in the bed.
iam planning on doing a fuel cell but i cant get one in time for the show iam going to so i have to do a stock for now its a brand new tank anyways so it looks half way good...
anyone know what the pressure rating is on normal gas hose
idk but you r truck runs at roughly 17psi if it was the vorteck in it
the vortec CPI motor runs 55-60 i believe.. i think the vortec TBI is in the 40's somewhere...
either way if u go rubber line just go in and tell em u need fuel injection gas line, it's high pressure and can take the pressure that ur engine makes either way, that'll get you by till you can get ur fuel cell
Most EFI motors are 45+ psi
yea... u need fuel injection gas line. do not make the mistake of getting regular fuel line from the parts store cuz it is only rated to 15 or so PSI. ur motor should run at around 45-50 PSI. also, to do it right, ur gonna want fuel injection fittings to clamp everything on with, not just regular hose clamps. just so u know, these fittings and line are expensive. We found steel braid at a performance shop n those fittings to be about the same price if not cheaper, so u might try that first
