what do you think about my idea

ok how about this ls1/4L60 in a 66 lincoln think it will work? i dont know if it can pull that yacht give me your 2 cents. or what you would swap in? i want fuel injection and ac so...... give me your ideas

yeah..I think it would work great..but I know you have to have a wiring harness to work it all..I think painless wiring sells the ls1 kit for around 400..then you got to have a wiring harness to work the 4l60e..its about 300..thats 700 in just wiring..would be alot cheaper to go old school 350 and 700r4 or 350 turbo trans..late 80's 700r4 with need elctronic overdrive lockup..you can get that from summit around 130..if I'm wrong let me know..I have an 02 4.3 w/ the 4l60e I'd like to install in my 64 impala..same reasons..ac, p/s,etc

yea i thought about 350/700r4 but do you think that thing could pull my lincoln and get better than 6-10 mpg? that's what im getting with the org. 462

I'm sure it would ...maybe around 14 -16 mpg..thats what a fullsize ext cab chevy would get..theyre in the same weight range ..just run a gear ratio that fits..
