heat/ac controller?

In my 90 ranger the fan knob broke and now i dont have any heat, does anyone know if i can put a newer 93+ heat/ac controller thing in my ranger? do they wire up the same? any help will be appreciated

93/94 ranger has the same a/c contoller as yours. 95 up is all electronic.
