when finnished with laying one stage paint...do i still have to apply clear coat....and if I don;t have to, am I supposed to buff the paint or can I just leave it as it is.....thanx for the help...

one stage paint = just that, 1 stage paint. if it has clear going on it then it would be 2 stage paint, or better known as base/clear. if your 1 stage oaint is relly one stage paint, and it is shiny, then your done. you can sand it and buff it, if you put enough material down.

Single stage paint does not have to have a clear coat applied, thats the whole idea of single stage. Though applying clear coat will give it a better appereance plus better protection. Youidont have to buff it. When you buff single stage you actually are buffing of some of the color, not the best thing. So if you plan on cutting and buffing it, reccomend putting some clear on it.
