this is prolly a dumb question but i like the style of lettering on the sides of like shop trucks and kinda like the (Socal speed shop) lettering. so is that a font on a computer??

i know the ones on the trucks and stuff are but is there not one for computers and stuff?

check out 1001freefonts.com and www.dafont.com, look in the B's, there might be the font you're looking for

Try myfonts.com. You can even type in a word and see an example of it displayed in the different fonts. Some of the 'door lettering' you're refering to is done by hand usually by a sign painter or someone who does hand lettering like a striper maybe. Of course you can find computer fonts that mimic hand lettering.
