Oil pressure guage isn't workin!?

i have a 91 ford ranger and i got a problem with my oil pressure guage obviously but sumtimes it will work and jump and flicker but never work constantly...anybody got any trouble shooting advice...could it be a fuse or bad connection sumwhere?

wheres this sensor you talkin bout... this the first ford i purchased so kinda new to the under the hood of this thing! thanx alot tho
