Hey whats up everybody, i have a 2002 Dodge Dakota Club Cab with a 3.9L, i was wondering what size fuel cell and what size external pump i would need to make it all work. Also what would i have to do to vent it, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Get one built with your factory pump in it so evrything works like factory and you don't have to deal with external pumps and what not.
I've heard of haivng to put foam inside the cell to prevent the fuel from sloshing around and not causing a static shock, but my question is wouldn't the foam get in the way of the float from the pump?
stock gas tanks, don't have fowm in them, why would you need foam in an aftermarket fuel cell..
Its what I read on some article on the internet from some 4wd off road mag. Its odd though, cause when I took out my fuel pump out of my tank there wasn't anything there. I'll see if I can find the article.
Well i defenitely want one with foam in it after reading that article, but even if i do get a fuel cell where do you vent it to, does my dakota have a box for the fumes to go to or what or do you have to vent them at all.
I think they come with vents already built on them-correct me if im wrong please?
I want to see what everyone elses opinion is on that article, cause I do plan on getting a cell some time soon.

Yeah what i mean is do you have to run a hose like you do on a stock tank.
That's a good article to read! I didn't know it was illegal to use a fuel cell on public roads! I bet you will never get a ticket for it unless the cop is just a jerk. Good find
