240sx Subframe on my f-150 or ranger??

I just posted the photo of the rear end i picked up at work, this guy was switching it out for a skyline 5 lug rear subframe so i grabbed the old one and the wheels. Did some research and the rear end of the 240 clip's rear track is (mm): 1,471. My 04 heritage 97-03 style f-150 is 1,661 (mm). if im correct then the 240 is 7inches shorter then the f-150's. So i was wondering if i would be able to get a rim that would make up the 3" on both sides if i centered the rear subframe & kept the rear 1/2" short on each side for wheel clearance. ALSO::: How do i go about centering this rear clip??? Would i go off the hubs im assuming? i dont think it matters but truck is bagged and stock floored... Any help would be great.

u can go off of the rotors, spindles, etc.. find something that is the same on both sides and measure from it to the outside of the frame rail, till its even..

on straight axles i go off of the drum hubs.. on IRS's i go off of the upper balljoint in the spindles.

The 4 lug is going to screw you for wheel choices, but you may be able to switch to SE hubs and rotors without changing anything else- these are 5 lug, and will open up your wheel choices tremendously.

I'm not sure exactly what is different from 4 to 5 lug 240 rear ends, but I know the RX7 setups are WAY different- something you may want to figure out before you move forward. You're going to need a wheel with a ton of dish to get that 3" on each side, which is going to look SICK!
Good luck, and keep us updated with pictures as you get it together!

thanks phil, i was thinking a 3" dish would look good too, thing is the reason the kid swaped this rear end out is because he switched to skyline rear clip which is 5 lug and stronger, so i know where to get everything, i was just wondering if it is a good rear end to do this with...
