We just did kinda the same thing in a S10 the other day except we went from a fuel injected system to an Edelbrock carb. The tranny was still controlled by the computer and is not getting the signal that the truck is running anymore, so now the tranny is not shifting right. So we are going to have to put in an older tranny that is not computer controlled so it will shift right. All the wires were just tucked out of the way. The plan is to completely eliminate the computer and remove all wiring.
