no air filter on my thomas compressor?

ok, im runnning 4 compressors on my truck, i noticed one of my air filters must of fell off, is this ok, safe? not sure of the model number, but its a few good yrs old and its kind of small, its the gray round filter piece that fell off and im seeing if this is ok, ok for a few months, not ok, please help me out.i just bought a 98 tacoma and this winter is my friend. thanks

i doubt it very seriously,prolly gona mess up the piston cylinder and the gasket,when i had my old dc 5000 i took the filter off and it got 2 where it wouldnt build up air,u might as well throw it in the trash

if it still works u can buy a lil airfilter from like ur local autoparts and get a 1/8 fitting i belive it is and u know the rest match the 2 togheter

NO ITS NOT A PROBLEM -- I USE TO HAVE THE EXACT SAME COMP -- AND THE FILTER FELL OFF AS WELL --IT RAN FINE TILL I DECIDED TO GO STRICTLY BOTTLE ---

thanks guys, sometime after winter i will get two new viairs 380's, but until then....i will look into that^^^ for sure tomorrow. thanks. oh, it still works, this just happened a few days ago. i need pics...tomorrow along with a few other q's. thanks.

i'm sure it'll depend on the environment that the compressor is used in as well

YES YOU NEED A FILTER> you dont run your car w/ otu an airfilter/oilfilter.i found a thomas air filter last nite actually if u want it. shoot me a pm.

Yea I might even have a couple of those small gray filters for Thomas 315s also if needed.

Definitely run a filter.. unless you just don't care about the compressor.
