i have a 2000 mazda b2500 (same as a ranger). i have only owned old school mazdas and toyotas in the past so i am unfamiliar with alot of things on this truck. my problem is alot of times my interior light wont go out and my "door ajar" warning light is always on too. but i wanted to start by checking the wiring at the door pins but i cant find them on this truck, some one help me out. thanks.

YOUR TRUCK DOESNT HAVE NORMAL DOOR PINS. THE PIN IS PART OF THE STIKER ASSEMBLY.

does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about fixing this, did anyone else have similar problems to this?

good luck with that man this is a common problem in rangers so i'm guessing its the same with the mazda. Mine dinged and the light stayed on for 50 miles one time. Drove me fucking insane. Ended up finding the door dinger (behind the stereo) and ripped it out and destroyed it. Never had a problem since.

its prolly the door switch is bad sometimes its mountsed on the door latch inside the door or its mounted in the cab on the bottom where the door hits the body

spray some wd-40 inside the latch area on the doors. That should help unstick it "usually the problem" if not I believe you have to replace it on the latch assembly if you can get it seperate.

ya most likely if the switch is part of the door you have to get the whole latch and sometimes its not cheap

it is from the grease buildup in the door latch lithium grease works better stays longer really the only fix
