it seems wierd after a long night of drinking and partying i came home and can remember leaving air in my tanks for the morning. but that morning when i woke up there was o pounds i thought damn i must've emptied my tanks (sometimes i do it as a second alarm). I havent driven my truck in 2 days(since monday)i went out side to start it up and play with it,it still had a 110 pounds from 2 dats ago probably what i left it at,so i played and filled it back up to about 90-95pounds. ten minutes ago i walked outside because i left the dome light on and theres 0 pounds. what the fuck is wrong.guys could you please help. i appreciate it mahalos to those willing to lend some good advic and a helping hand.mahalo
DUMP GETTING STUCK TAKE ALL OF THEM APART CLEAN OIL IF NEEDED, TRY THAT I USUALLY DO MAINTENANCE ON MINE ABOUT EVERY 3 MONTHS ANOTHER THING THAT IS TRIPPY IS WHEN IT IS COLD...IF YA LEAVE 150PSI IN THE TANK COME OUT THAT MORNING AND ITS DOWN TO 120PSI...IN REFERANCE TO THAT I HAVE PUT CHECK VALVES ON ALL MY LINES FROM THE TANK GOING TO THE VALVES.
Now if you're claiming your tank is losing pressure, you might have more than one valve causing your issues. If a dump is stuck, you're just going to lose pressure in the bag(s) attached to that circuit... not tank pressure. It would appear that you have lift valves leaking up, and either a leak in that bag(s) causing it to drain the tank via that small leak, or a lift valve and accompanying dump valve leaking.
Do you have direct acting, pilot activated, or spool type valves?
If you have a pilot activatved valve such as an SMC, Parker, etc. often rust water, small debris, or pieces of thread tape will interfere with proper operation. Disassemble the valve and ensure that the plunger for the pilot moves very freely, also be sure there is nothing blocking the pilot hole in the diaphragm.
Spool type valves will more than likely require new seals/o-rings on the spool, but could require pilot cleaning.
Hope this gets your started.
BTW: After re-reading your post what type of compressor do you have? Are you sure that there is no air leaking back through the head of the compressor either through the reed or check valve? An easy way to check is to fill your tank, remove your air filter on the comp, and put your finger over the port for a minute or so. If pressure builds up against your finger, you know where to start.
