prices on chrome and powder

i tried searching but couldn't find much... for those that have had parts chromed or powder coater whats the average cost.. i'm thinking of getting my engine cleaned up with some chrome, possibly with a little color.. (im not looking to do much just some brackets, valve cover, pulleys, etc.) anyways if i can't afford chrome i'll powder coat but what are you guys paying for stuff. Any info/direction will help. thanks

theres two places in utah Salt lake chrome and Ogden Chrome plating, just about any of the body shops in boise can send stuff down both of the companys have reps that show up once or twice a week as for cost they can look at it and give you a quote.

yeah i know about ogden chrome but im just too lazy and wanted to get an idea from what other people pay

Chrome prices out here are outrageous. At least in my area. I sent Two pedals to get chromed in Florida for $70. With shipping.

Powdercoat is pretty fair up here though, because a lot of places do it. I'm looking at $500 to get a frame and a 5 link done.

powder coating in my area is about half as much as chrome plating.

im a powder coater in montana and to do the parts you mentioned it would be around $100 with the cleaning, striping, and media blasting but you would have to mail them here and im sure you can find someone local
