i wanna drill them but i remember seeing some sort of special drill bit that can be used and works better then a conventional bit. any ideas?

they have spot weld bits. Get on google.com and searh for them

yeah we use spot bits as some call em they are straight u just dont drill all the way threw u drill untill u hear it pop and go to the next one is all

Spot weld cutter. Best 20 bucks I ever spent (not reallly, but useful).

Depends where your doing yours at but i split apart the 2 pieces and put a saw-zall in between and started cutting, worked out great for me.

If you don't need the first layer of metal just use a grinding wheel and grind threw it, its real fast.

im gonna knock out my inner fender but i wanted to leave the lip on the back side so i can mount my battery to it once i cut up the mounting material.
