door popper kit power source

i want to just run one wire off the positive through the firewall to a main power source and branch all my power off that...is this a good idea?if so where could i get one of these power sources...already checked all the local auto stores...or tell me how u guys ran all your wires.thanks

I just ran a power through my firewall behind my glove box and hid all my relays and brain

just catch your power from the ingnition harness, its the easier and you can hide your relays and brain for you poppers

If you get it from the ignition harness make sure it can handle the current draw. I always go off of the battery and try to put the fuse somewhere its easy to get at, the inside of a door can sometimes be a harsh place for electronics and shorts are very common even if you are carefull. Good luck
