ok heres the deal. ive got a bagged 02 s10 right now that i bought built. damn thing is giving me problems every week it seems. not sure yet but im tossing up the idea of selling it and getting a daily and around a $1,000 project truck. what truck would everybody recommend to start as my first beginners/learning build. i have friends that know what they're doing so im not going into this blind, but what would be a good truck to learn on? Nissan HB,Mazda,Ranger,or another damn S10?

and i guess i should say the truck i have right now isnt all that bad. i know im gunna have probs with every mini i own, thats just part of having a custom vehicle. i just dont have the time and money to fix this truck every day.i say this cuz its my daily. so i need a daily and something to learn on and build right so i know the truck from top to bottom.
Id say go w/ something you dont see too much like an isuzu. If not that than i'd have to say an older (late 80's-early 90's) Hardbody or mazda. Those trucks I think are good starter trucks to learn on. I started w/ my hardbody and learnt a lot on it, now that i know some, im moving up and gonna start working on my 99' s-10. thats just my opinion.
isuzu's have alot of clearance challenges in the front suspension if you go with one older than 88 and depends on your skills you can't buy anything for an isuzu so all the brackets are semi if not fully fabricated so depends on what kind of build you are looking at doing if you ask me
88-95 Isuzu. Ya don't see to many of em at shows and they're pretty easy to work with. There's also enough parts offered by grant fab and fbi to wear you'll have options and not get frustrated with finding crap.
BEGINNERS MINITRUCK=S10 THEY MAKE BOLT ON ANYTHING FOR S10S.

exactly. s-10s have so much for them that you can learn easily without fucking it up, then later down the road you can get something else and apply your knowledge to that and build it better
