well this welder is about 2 years old (hobart 140) every thing works normal but when it comes down to weld it seems like it has no ground. i checked all connections replace ground cable same thing . what i noticed a week or 2 ago the ground clamp was getting hot i didnt know why...any help out there

Make sure the wires coming from the mig gun, throught the whip are connected to the terminals inside the welder correctly...

Not that I know of off the top of my head... I'm very BAD when it comes to wiring...

All else fails take it to the professionals. Let someone look at it, tell you what's wrong, then tell them you can't afford for them to fix it. Then if you can fix it yourself or try your luck on here once you know what's wrong.

what i did to fix it i had a roll of 4ga speaker wire and i took the wire outta of it and added to the gun i added alot works liek before now. i also just order a new gun for it
