getting a driveshaft made

i am trying to get a driveshaft made for my 302 conversion into my ranger i am doing and the local shop quoted me $275. this is what it consist of.. i am bringing two driveshafts... one off my ranger and one off a mustang so they can get the slip yolk off the mustang driveshaft and the rear peice off the ranger diveshaft. they are taking those off and making me a new one. has anyone gotten this done befoer and how is that price? it sounds way too high but i could be completly wrong! thanks!

you sare somewhat wrong, depending o the shop, i just paid 200 for new slip yolk and blancing, plus rebuilding the entire driveshaft,i think thats a def fair price.

you did or di not rebuild the entire dirveshaft.. the way you worded it that sounds like you did. but i assuming you didnt....?i have the slip yolk and the other end already.

the shop that does my work would only charge me about 60 bucks to change out a yoke on a driveshaft. they must have to change shaft sizes and retube it or something....

The shop down hear charged me like 160 to lenghthen my front drive shaft like 3 inches... seems a bit much.

they are talking about building a new driveshaft for me.
