This damn thing is aggrivating me. Ever since I got it I've been struggling for this thing to make a good looking weld. It burns hot for sure we've got the full 220 going to it, but for some reason it just hisses and acts crazy sometimes to the point of me getting super pissed off. I'm familiar with all the little things that go wrong and act up but I'm stumped. I've tried EVERY thing except the right thing obviously. I don't know what else to do. Every weld looks like crap and relatively doesn't burn in at all. the little 110 volt Lincoln 135 impressed me more than this thing any day of the week. A picture of what a weld looks like, most look like this, with the rough edges and all. And I know the weld's kinda rough looking, I had to weld up a crack on a box scraper for our tractor, so I was just wanting it to burn, not to necessarily look great.

And it even does it on freshly grinded metal, so I don't see how it could be that.

yea mine burns really cleanly, check polarity, nozzle, and then mabey liner but only check the liner if wire feed is the issue.

could it be the flux capacitor? will it go the full 88mph?

^ Thanks fellas, It must be the polarity. I thought once it might be that but it didn't strike me as being an issue b/c the welder manual said polarity didn't matter. I'll mess with it tomorrow. Thanks again.
