when mounting a motor what is the maximun and minimum degrees it should be? also where should i put my angle finder to get this reading? the top of the intake manifold where the carbirator mounts onto isnt levelwith the rest of the block if you look at it. it is a couple degrees slanted forward but i didnt knwo if thats where you get the angle then the motor just has a couple more degree tilt that the actual angle finder says. thanks!

best place to get an acutal level on the motor is anything attached to the crank, like the flywheel.

mount a magnetic angle finder on th eface of the crankshaft near thr front seal. the motor should be slanted down towards the rear at about 6 degrees +/- a degree thats it.

Generally the average tilt is between 2 and 6 degrees. When doing motor swaps I've alwasy done 5 degrees. No problems.
