i am wantin to take the dakota sport stickers off of my truck.. what is a good way to do this and what will get rid of any adhesive residue left by the stickers... any help is appreciated
blow dryer or heat gun. if the adhesive wont come off with your thumb, some type of buffer and cleaner.
thanks... should i use something like paint thinner to take it off.. i have been told to use that for the adhesive
goo gone will take the adhesive off and won't damage the paint.
yes use goo gone, they will take all the old adhesiv off, then go over it with rubbing alcohol, that will get rid of the oily goo gone
lil WD-40 on a rag will work too, just use the rubbing alcohol to take the WD off when your're done.
you can also use a earaser wheel that can be purchased at a auto piant supply store. used it many of times works great.
if its a hot day you can leave the truck out in the sun and bascailly peel sticker and adhesive off at once. Don't use paint thinner if there is some adhesive left, I would use wax/grease remover
thanks for all the replies... i have some goo gone round the house somewhere. i have already done this on my tailgate with no sticky residue so.. thanks again
WHAT? what are u guys talkin about.... GOO GONE? PAINT THINNER? have yall never been to a paint store and deen the ERASER? you put it on your drill and in seconds the sticker, and residue are gone. it dont scratch the paint.. and they are relatively inexpensive.. FIND YOU AN ERASER AND BE DONE WITH IT. NO MORE SCRUBBIN EVER
