Im about to start bagging the rear of my 99 sonoma ex-cab .Anyone have any tips or advice on how to keep my penion angle right ?
theres a real good forum about this do a little re-search and its pinion not penion.. but someone should be able to find the forum, i dont know where its at but theres a guy on here thats knows his angles
put an angle finder on the tranny and whatever it reads, leave your rear end opposite of that... i.e. tranny says -2, rear end should be +2
is it a single or 2 pc. driveshaft? single would be pretty simple and I have some great pics to help.. but 2 pc. is a little more complicated. (sorry im not as familiar with the diff s10s)
i should have paid more attention. what i said works on single cabs
x cabs have a 2 piece and carrier bearing.
i'd still do it the way i said, but that carrier bearing allows you a lot more 'ley-way' b/c it wont vibrate if you're off, b/c the shaft from the bearing to the tranny, is still at a set degree
