ok my sc209 engine drivin compressor shit the bed today. what i want to know is if i buy another one from napa for a hundred bucks instead of from gauge for 230 do i have to do anything to the thing or just use it. on easystreets site they say they change up sum stuff and i dont know what they were talking about.anyone no fer sure what to do. i also pulled off my clutch and when i hook power to it it clicks or opens i guess. but while the truck was running today the pully was just sitting idle burning up my belt. if this helps. thanks in advance

your clutch is fine, the problem is your compressor is seized up. thats why its burning the belt.

im guessing the sc209 is a sanden compressor, in which case you c`an buy one from napa, just as long as it is the "sealed" version. meaning, you fill the case w/ oil and it does not circulate throughout the system. i dont know what vehicle it came off of, or model numbers or anything like that. but i do remember someone saying something about there being a fill plug on the case, possibly on the top.

may not help a whole lot, but dammit i tried!! haha.

If it's a york, there should be nothing to do really. You might want to check out this thread on s10forum lots of good york info.
