if you buy a steering column for a 1940 ford, it will work fine.

It's all a question of what it's going into that will determine the application.

if you're putting that column in a 2001 s10, with a 40's ford wheel you'll have to get a GM to ford wheel adapter.

Tell ididit, they make columns for those.

its going into a ford ranger that has been gutted and is getting a new dash and all new wiring .... so i was trying to make it all work around the painless q8 fuse harness i have and the 1940 wheel.
