Hey all,I just got my new SMC Cylinders and will be recieving the rest of my equiptment from Ricky at WhyNot next week... however...

The bottom Ports of all the Cylinders are wide open... do I need to get Filters for those ports? Or will they be fine?

I'm just worried that those ports may suck in a bunch of crap with going up and down?

Thanks all!

Would be a good idea, but I never had any when I ran cylinders, and I ran cylinders for about 3 years with no problems.

i've heard both, the people that run the filters obviously say that you need them and the people that don't run them never have a problem... go figure, lol

i can't seem to find anyplace right off hand that sells them or a pic of them. but they're lil cone like shaped metal filters, the ones i've seen are like a copper color. They're durable and the don't slow down the airflow....

could just get some brass nipples and put a mesh or something on it, kind of ghetto but it'd be dirt cheap

Truckin.com sells them there real cheap I run them on my integra and there adjustable to how much air can come out of them so you can adjust your ride quality.... realisticly you don't need them but there good to have
