what a waste

i usually look on here once a day to get some ideas or see some pics or talk to peole i know around my area but lately it has been a real downer cause there sure is alot of negative stupid ass drama going on if all you are concerned with the future of what we do then take a look at your selves and how you act and then have something to say

yeah pretty much all people do is bitch about petty bullshit.. ot bitch about how some ass did something at a show.. That no one gave a shit enough to stop when they where there, but they can sure be computer commandos as soon as they get home... but there are alot of little ass punks that have no respect for shit and act like every show is like a frat party and needs to 'act a damn fool' for all there buddies.. I mean ther was some stupid shit that happened back in the day, but everyone had a respect factor for one another and the surroundings, and would tell a fool to simmer down and they would.. and if anything was said about a ride it was taken like constructive criticism and just made the person work harder to get there shit up to par or voice why they thought somthing looked good to them.. now they cry cuzz some asshole on the other end of the internet dosent like something and they have to have an 56 page thread about why these mirrors look gay on so and so's ride and this show sux cuzz and im never going again cuzz I didnt get a trophy cuzz my ride is better than the one that one.... its just all bullshit these days.. I could go on bitching for about 10 pages about diffrent aspects of shit that have shanged over the years but then I would be no better than the other phucks that whine on and on about nothing.

its the internet man. people feel safer talking shit behind a computer screen. the internet is ruining the scene. and it looks like it wont get any better

I have to agree w/ ya John...I get on this site every single day, usually multiple times a day, and for the past little while, all you see on the front page is
"F*** this shop, or this guy did this, or dont buy from here, etc....." While I do agree that some of the negative threads are informative to us minitruckers and let us know who to stay away from, so we dont get screwed on parts/work, All of those types of threads need to be in the brawl room section, and the brawl room section shouldnt pop up on the home page, just like the off-topic doesnt show up now....It just gets really old lookin at em....

No No nothing has changed.No one is different and people have allways talked crap.The difference is the advent of the enternet as to make private opinion public.I can remember a guy pulling up a tree in the ninty's.I remember people hating because someone had a better truck and they couldn't stand it.I will still get on ssm but you are correct,brawl should not pop up on the front page.But with the bad come's the good too.I see stuff on ssm I don't usually get to see,meet cool ass people that like the same stuff and get info on show's style's and current event's.

I have been a member to this site since early 2000 (under another name) and it was a great place for info and to meet people, this is basically were my former club gained chapters and grew and its not like that anymore, now I just humor myself here reading all of the dumb drama out there, I have been in the scene since 91 and there has always been jerks and shows have been cancelled but its getting worse, I think to many kids sit around watching all the mini truck "lifestyle" videos and think thats what the scene is all about, I watch and like many of the vids out there but pissing on cop cars and falling out of trees is not really what mini truckin all about, it seems the trucks have taken a back seat to attitude and trying to out do what they have seen in a video, to me the mini truck lifestyle is full of body filler, cutting and welding, draggin my wife and kids down to the garage to show them what I just did and hangin out with other guys that do the same thing, never once in my 15 years of mini truckin have i needed to publicly bash people for the ways they build there truck or destroy a hotel room, and I still feel like I am a true mini trucker, I hope someday that things will change and it doesnt drive to many of us old guys away from the scene, I will always build mini trucks but I definatly not as involved in the "lifestyle" as I would like to be, went a little off topic but its all part of the same thing
