motor mounts for 302. is this a bad idea?

i was thinking about using some structural pipe and 4 link knuckle ends to make motor mounts like they have in mintruckin a couple times. problem is ive seen it be done to that 4 cylinder toyota, not a v8. im not looking to make a high horsepower motor so i want to know if it will still be ok?

i did a tech article in MT about a year ago on a v8 swap in an s-10 with the same motor mounts check it out maybe mike will post the issue it was in

how are they holding up for you? do you feel like they are strong and arnt going anywhere?

i remember seeing that article too.just wanted to make sure they are still holing up and if you feel good about them?

Itll be fine as long as u have good pentetrated welds there really isnt as much pressure as u would think on the mounts. Once u have the 2 mounts on engine and the tranny mount its a pretty solid setup.
