well guys i am tossing around the idea,of choping my dime before i send it off for painting. kinda looking for advice if anyones done one before gimme some pointers..

how much u wantin to chop it?? If u only go a couple inches u can keep all ur stock glass functional!!

I have a 94 sonoma if i choped it 2 inches would i still be able to keep stock glass and would it make a pretty big difference?? How much do chop tops normally run 2?

tops can be cut however much u wanna...i havent personally doen a late model truck so i dont wanna say what u can and can not do for sure, but i dont c y u couldnt use ur stock glass if u only take out 2 inches...u can just lay ur windshield back, or sink it in to the cowl area, and rework ur window frames around the sides to refit ur stock galss...nuthin to difficult, just tedious

It would be a good idea to get an extended cab top at like a junkyard and use it for the new roof its easier that way

yeah guys i was gonna go abought 1 1/2 to 2 inches, i dont wanna go to much just enough to notice its choped? never done one before so whould you guys say take it to someone who has? i was at my shop looking at it last night.decided i was gonna get a donor cab and try it on that first but not sure on taking on the job yet. you guys got any advice on it? thanks guys

IF chopped kims S10 about 1 1/2", lil complimant chop, it came out good. It was a tech article in street trucks about it and they used all stock glass. www.ifcustom.com
