I have noticed alot of trucks popping up that are newer trucks but have carburated motors in them that are hopped up. My question is how are these guys going about getting these trucks tagged and inspected for the street being they do not have the factory motor and there is no computer plug in. I live in houston and the inspectors down here are pretty tuff on what they pass and my next truck i want to venture down this road so i am just posing a few questions. Any help is appreciated.

Laws are different from state to state. In CA theres no chance of passing. But they could just be show trucks, not street trucks.

Great thing about Kentucky. No emissions tests. We don't have to get our vehicles inspected unless it is bought, out of state.

Well, if you're just going to cruise around show time, and not drive it on a weekly basis, or daily, you'll be fine. You probably wont get pulled over unless you have a blower sticking out of the hood.

OR, if you have a 350 with a lumpy cam in a Volvo wagon...
