Fuel cell

I'm going to order a fuel cell cause my gas tank now drags the ground (98 GMC FULLSIZE. the question i have is will the factory fuel pump work or what will i need to get every thing back working once i install the fuel cell? thanks

you can get a custom cell made to accept your factory shit, or you can buy a cell with a 0-90ohm sending unit in it and buy an aftermarket pump..

i use Jeg's raw alum fuel cells, b/c they look shiney and then an MSD fuel pump, the really small one that is only 100.. done it on various trucks.. the stock FPR will regulate it down to what you need, but it will feed the vortec motors.

around 350 total for the pair from jegs.com

Summit has a 15 Gal with 90 ohm Gm sending unit for 249.00, so is the sending unit the actual fuel pump its self?

no the sending unit tells you the level of fuel left in the tank and sends that amount to your gauge in the truck

Wish imports used the 90 or do they? I need a cell bad for my froniter wish that was one thing i new anything about.I guess it dont matter about the sender as mine went out so my gauge dont work anyways lol...

dude i got a aluminum fuel cell for sale hit me up its 20 gallon brand new never been used

a friend of mine has a HB and uses a 0-90 ohm unit and his gauge works fine.. prob the same for you.

dude check this, on my 97chevy i notched the cab a little, and also the crossmember that the gas tank straps to, for a little more clearance we cut the back of the tank at an angle. When laid out i have an little over an inch of clearance when before it laid it rocks with the frame. Give it a shot, good luck
