I noticed my gas tank was leaking today and I am pretty sure it happened last night.....but what is good to use? I saw some underwater weld kinda like jb weld but its hard to get it to stick while the tank is leaking. It said it works on gas tanks but so far I am having problems. Any help would be great.
Rub a little of a bar of soap on it first to fill the crack and then you the JB Weld
So just use regular JB weld on top of the soap? Wow never heard of that but I will try it.
I always keep a bar of soap with me. I've rubbed a few little whole in my tank over the years. lately i've been using a gas tank repair kit that has held up well for a year so far. I think you can get it at auto zone or any place like that..
soap is a good temp fix to get you home or to the parts store to get the gas tank repair kit shit.
And the gas tank repair shit is a good temp fix until you fix the problem properly by raising the tank or getting a fuel cell...
Well I saw the gas tank repair kit at the parts store. It says works on plastic tanks and works on gas tanks but does not work on plastic gas tank. Whats up with that?
