68 Caddy!

just looking for opinions. im leaning one way on this but still a little unsure. The car is white with a vinyle black top not convertable a little old and torn in a few places. should i take the vinyl off the top and paint it same color as the car? or should i just redo the vinyle and leave it the way it came original? i have seen it both ways and still unsure of what im going to do!! any thoughts, opinions, pictures?

vinyl sux, it belongs on restored muscle cars or nuthn at all!!!
