need help with sponsorship!!!

Whats up ya'll... got a question im sure has already been asked, but can't hurt to ask it myself... and if there's already a post about this then hook me up with a link to it...

here it goes... I'm really trying to get my truck on the ground... I've built 4 trucks and on my 5th and have never "finished" one.. it's a clean sierra on 22s... well, im in the process of moving out of my parents for good, and won't have all kinds of money to dump into my truck like i have been... I really want to get this truck bagged, and i feel my truck may be "sponsor worthy"... i look at my truck and other trucks featured in mags and about the only thing i'm missing is being on the ground...

so for all of you guys that have gotten sponsorships, what's the "trick" to pickin one up??? i'm mainly lookin to get suspension parts and suiocide hinges... do you guys just know the right people in the right places or just have vehicles that people want their company's parts all over them or what???

ive never had a sponosorship. but ive seen documentation of your progress & renderings help some also haveing professional letters written to the companys your trying to get sponsored from helps. you cant just call up a company like viair & say "yo dawg i got this sick ass sierra with 22s and it clean as fuck id like to know can i get some free shit bro" ya know?

for sure... what companies are into sponsoring... fbi, air ride tech, suicide doors, etc, etc, etc???

Your never going to get everything for free right away, theres always money to be invested in your own ride. Pimp My Ride is a better avenue if you want everything for free. It's cut-throat in the sponsorship world and theres thousands of other people vying for the same thing. Best bet is to get the rendering, create a portfolio, and search the web for companies that have products you'd like. I'll tell you right now though that paying for airbag suspension would be a first if your planning on being sponsored for other stuff, as that gives them atleast a reason to send something out. 22's on a clean truck mean nothing.

As for companies, your gonna have to do the legwork, and, it's always good to know people in the company, so meet whoever you can, but trust me bro, you don't want to be a sponsor-whore either, who will pick up anything they can get.

Landscaping sponsers my ass... You'll have better luck buying all that shit on your own, or learn how to do it yourself. Good luck though.

dragntrac23 on here(randy) can write u a proposal for sponsorship.hit him up.he does it for people .keep it in mind its not free but worth the money .sponsorships r ify and some require you be at certain show and what not!

cool.. thanks for the help so far... john, i totally hear you.. i'm working my ass off too, but with a damn near $500insurance payment, paying for school out of my pocket, and everything else, i'm suprised i've gotten this much done with my truck... and i'm still not done paying for my wheels and stereo stuff...(thank god for good credit!)...

who would you guys recommend for a rendering?? who's got the best pricing for good quality renderings??? thank you once again...

im not a huge biz but i have thrown down sponsorships on a few vehicles. the main thing i look for is appeal, i say to myself, is it worth my 800-2000 dollars to invest in this car, will it pay itself back in advertising and or work, and if it will, its a good idea for me to sponsor it. heres an example of what i have sponsored.

on www.yotascene.com i held a contest for sponsorship for an air setup or something of equivelance to the winner, pretty much it was everyone on the site who was interested, they submitted a profesional proposal and we chose the winner based on being most benificial to the truck and to us, the winner wanted some help with a body drop and so before we started it the truck was stolen, lol, so whenever he gets a new project we are gonna take care of him.

also i sponsored project "RETRO WAGON" robbie from KUTTING EDGE GRAPHIX is building it. this car is going to be a crazy attention getter, and everyone knows about it, so i didnt think it would be smart to pass up, so what im trying to say is that you have to invision something that everyone would want their name on. thats the bottom line, how can you help me make money, thats the idea behind sponsorship, its an investment for a business and investments should be benificial, good luck
