Welder Cheap need help!

I found a cheap welder it was a 70 amp mig i think any ways it was $40 . is it a good deal?I just need some thing to weld in some spots like stake pocket and door hanles. I know nothing about this stuff very welling to learn though any help would be greatly accepted!

it all depends, it might only have high and low selections, and there would be a chance that it will get too hot to weld sheetmetal.

i used a chicago mig 100 that only had high and low setting with flux core to shave everything.. the doors and bed side warped pretty good but not bad enough that it couldn't be fixed.. and I took my time and let the metal cool inbetween spot welds. I now have a miller 175 and that welder can weld some pretty thin stuff without burning through and it also produces less heat which will cause less warping. but if that welder has more settings then high and low for voltage then id prolly go for it.. i mean its $40 cant go wrong with that. just my
