I was thinking of just cranking down my torsion bars in the front of my tahoe and taking a couple leafs out out back. If it wasnt four wheel drive I would have done it already but I'd like some feed back before I do something I have no clue about lol So does anyone think it would be a bad idea about the torsions? maybe unsafe because it is 4x4?

i slammed my 4x4 blazer, before i did it i researched the wat was best. i did read that u can crank down the keys on the torsion bars, not sure tho how much drop youll be able to get. the way i went was ordering a drop kit from belltech, the kit came with two new torsion keys to slam the front and rear leaf springs. it lowered my blazer enough that i did plenty of damage to my front bumper. good luck.....if u got anymore questions let me know, ill be glad to help

free is good, can't complain about that. Some trucks you can pull out the front stuff and be ok, or you might have to front half it, at least they blazers are cheap. (assuming s10 blazer) I've dropped awd and they were pretty easy with a drop kit.

I had my torsions cranked down in my old 95 pathfinder 4x4. it was a daily driver for me and i drove it all winter in canada (which can be up to a foot of snow). I only engaged the 4x4 if i really needed it due to the angle of the cv joints. never had any problems.
