thinkin about goin to a step side. so...step side f150 beds plastic or steel? i know crew cab is plastic.

it is fiberglass / steel if it is anything like mine. The bed on my ranger is step-side and it is 2 pieces one is fiberglass and the other is steel...very odd

so anotherwords the actual floor and sides are metal, but the bed sides are plastic, or like a composite?

no, the outter bed sides are fiberglass

more than likely they are SMC which is a type of fiberglass.
