They would be manual brakes then. I'd imagine them being very difficult to depress.

to be honest they aint that bad. had them on an 86 s-10 and takes a little getting use to but not to bad. seems like that stopped faster to. kind of wish had them on the one i have now. but not really hard to depress bause u dont have to wait for the vacum off the booster its as soon as u step on them

ok well what does it take to get rid of it besides unbolting the master cylinder from it and unbolting it from the fire wall?

You will most likely have to modify the firewall where it mounts, the the pedal where its connected to the booster.

Well, I cant say for sure on an S10 because I havent looked, but on my Yota it was a rod that connected the pedal to the booster. That rod got pressed in. That would need modification.

ive had an 84 s10 with manual brakes and they aint that bad. like superstan said it just takes a lil gettin used to. ive got an 02 s10 now and it does have a rod connecting the pedal to the brake booster. but if ur doing this for clearance issues id just get a 7" brake booster, that way youll still have good brakes and plenty of room for big rims. my
