I just figured out how to use my SD chip to use the music I have downloaded as ringtones. I was told by the staff at alltel that there are web-sites that offer free links to use to cut down the music so the whole song is not playing since you only really need about 15 seconds worth. Can anyone give me some help on finding these programs to edit with. Thanks for the help.

John what is your e-mail. I have this real simple program called mp3 splitter that allows you to take a song and cut it into how ever long you want. I do 30 seconds for my ring tones. When you split the song you can listen and then download that section to my PPC-6700

alltel isn't that like nextel? sony sound forge 7.0 works the best you can cut what ever you want and save however you want. i use that for my nextel. i get 53 second ringtones. if you use nextel you have to use a ringtone loader called webjal and a usb cable (ebay for like 5 bucks). if it is just any motorola phone use mobile phone tools. if you need help email me and i get you some directions, i need to know what phone you have, so we can find what program best works for you.
