alright. so no more real projects until skools done. so in the meantime i have toys. my dirtbike and jet ski both fit into the bed of my truck but i want to trailer the jetski. just scarred of seeing my truck slide into the resevoir because i have half the bed into the water trying to unload my jetski.
so i got a trailer, that im more than willing to cut. but i dont have a hitch right now on my mazda. what iw as thinking was putting a ball in the bed of the truck and making the tongue a little longer on the trailer. so that way the roll pan(thats STILL not installed yet) goes untouched. I.E. i dont have to cut a hole in it for the reciever thing to go through. im thinking some 1/2 plate on top and bottom of the bed floor (about 1 foot by 1 foot) for some overkill reinforcement. my tailgate is still functional. so itll fold out of the way.
is this gay and/or dangerous? opinions/constructive critisism please.

yeah i would go with the hidden hitch. just because you have the foot of plate doesn't meant the it will not pull thru. some jackass hides you for behind and trail thru the back wall. go with the hitch that way it is mounted to something a lot more solid

good point. bolt it to the frame rather than sheetmetal bed floor. guess ill have to cut a hole in the rool pan anyways........

Maybe cut a hole in ur bed floor and weld something up that goes off ur frame and up through the hole
