Air Zenith Compressors

anybody on here using an AZ compressor? ive had mine for about a month now and its been working great, all of a sudden today at a show it started making some irregular humming sounds and it just turned off which i just suspected the tank was full but come to find out it just shut off on its own with only 80psi in the tank. all the wiring is still good and all fuses are good and i am getting power through the relay so it must be internal?? this really bumbs me out cuz i have no idea how long its going to take if i have to get it replaced is there any type of auto shut down if its ran too much? i was using it to fill my 5 gal. tank throughout a 3 hour duration but it wasnt constant just every now and then. anyone else with experience with these please chime in.....

Mail it to them it's under warrenty still. Any funny noises you hear is letting you know death is near...... Give them a call they have good customer service.

yea thts tha one thing ive heard about AZ....if they tell u to run 20 on 20 off u better run 20 on 20 off if not they burn up like a mug

they will as long as you did not open it up yet. my buddy fried his sent it to them to fix and he had to pay for it cuz he looked inside of it. the part i find funny is that it is a rebuildable comp. so why should it matter if he opened it up.

right on guys thats what ive been seeing alot not only on here but on others sites as well. funny thing is though, is i kindof heard like fluctuations in the compressor's humming like shortly after i put it in the car but its worked great all until today

Did you contact Britt yet? Should be no problem getting everything straightened out but still the inconvenience sucks.

Actually i did talk to him today and i had to send it in for repair i hope it gets returned quick...
Danny, thats kind of funny cuz alot of people that are used to running viair has given 100% better feedback on the AZ vs. the viair. its been great for me, sometimes things just malfunction.

One of mine took a crap on me, sent it back and had a brand new one within a week, no questions asked.
