bed subfloor

whats everyone using for their subloors when they build new floors? 1/2" box tubing or 1" ?? just curious im gonna be doin mine real soon and thought id ask! if anyone has pics of their subframe it would be appreciated!

i'll be doing mine with 1" when the time comes.

i'm also going to be doin mine in 1" 1/8th wall

yep im using 1x1 1/8" wall too

i use 1x1 16 gauge its superstrong and then i skined the floor with 16 gauge

i did mine with some 1x1, i think its 16 gauge or something, its thin, but theres not gonna be any weight back there NE ways

ok i have a few questions about the whole subfloor thing. so after you have your subfloor in like in the picture above...do you just lay in the sheet metal and tac it down like any other sheet metal work?

if i was to cut the floor out completely in my truck think id run the risk of cracking out my cal combo?? i have 1X1 square tube between the sides supporting the combo!

it would make it 100 times easier to cut the floor out set it on the truck and fab the frame up and around everything,

heres mine i tacked a couple bars in then cut the whole floor out and went from there

cool so i think the 3 1X1 bars i have between the bed supporting the cal combo should be good!
