ive got a 91 s dime and i want to do tilt bed on it. but i dont know what to use for the hinge system please help me!!!!!
my dad did his truck back in early 80s and used like a big over sized piano hinge he did his hood like that to and hasnt had probelms with it at all
I was thinking to use a couple rubber bushing Heim Joints and an air cylinder or bag.
use a bag of of a 18 wheeler duh!
(Doja) on here has a s10 with tilt bed. He uses a regular slam bag. Works and looks good not sure if he has pics that would help you out but you may want to check it out.

im not so sure about gate hinges... they may work but they look scarey to me. Either use a piece of 1" round tubing .120 wall and slide 1-1/4" .120 wall round tubing over it and somehow attach the 1 inch to the frame and have little sections of the 1-1/4" that attach to the bed. You could use bigger also but by using 1", you can use a 1" washer to center the pieces of 1-1/4" to keep the bed from shifting side to side. and put grease zerks in to keep it slick. OR, you can use a couple of 4-link bushings for it, but just make sure you line up the bushings perfect because if not it will bind bad. I did it this way and used a piece of straight threaded rod through the bushings to set them.Be careful about where you hinge it also... the roll pan could possibly hit the ground or swing up and hit the bottom of the frame maybe ??? .The best way to do the actuation would be a tripple convolte contitech. You can use 2 regular bags but they have to have PERfect placement. You can also use airshocks.
^dude your truck is sick just lettin you know. as for the tilt bed I got nothing for you sorry.
