Im sure we all have experienced being raped by the recent metal prices. Anyone have any hookups? What Im asking is, Where do you buy your metal? and for How much $$$

At Van Bebbers in Petaluma. Great prices. My friends da also works there so I get a little discount.

Or I order it through my friends work, if its common tubing or plate. Very cheap there.

i have a friend that buys straight from a mill in birmingham, al.

^^That would more than likely be Nucor...I work at the Ne. Division...I get shit for 7cnts. a lb.

WHAT!!! 7cents!!! that's crazy! I pay $48 for a 20ft length of (1 1/2") x (3/16" wall) round tubing! We get Raped in Cal! I need a good hookup.

I paid $50 for 40 feet through my friends work.

i am pretty sure that would be sisken or hannah that is were we get all of our steel at work in tullahoma tn....2x3 i can get for like $1.85 a foot it goes up and down so much you never no what you are goin to pay

Haven't priced tubing or anything in a while, but I just bought a sheet of 4x8 16 ga. cold rolled sheet metal for $33...not sure how good of a deal I got..

Yes there was a price increase announced at around the end of april...you should see it around the end of may...
