OKay I bought me a 95 Chevrolet dually reg. cab. My question is , when i shave the taillights can I put some in the back of the fender, kinda like a '70 model stepside C-10? (except they were on a post). I mean I know i can but do you think it would be legal, as long as they face directly at the car behind me. I've never seen this before , thought it would be cool.
i dont c why not...i think it would look good
does anyone know of a law in tennessee that would keep me from doing it?
look at my truck in my profile, the f100, is this what u are talking about? arent u reall just shaving them, and replacing them? i dont really understand.
okay i cant explain it any better,. the back fenders of a dually stick out........... on the back side place taillights
Most states have laws that state tailights have to be at the rear most point of the vehicle. You may also want to think of it from a safety stand point. Someone may rear end you because they think your fenders are the back of your truck at night. Plus visiblity would drop and different angles. I like the idea, but im pretty sure it would violate some laws.
well thanks dwight, never thought of that. Maybe i will think of something else cool
sounded cool. cut out the section thats between the back of the fenders and the back of the trcuk. then weld the backend shut smooth. then it would work,. but not sure what that would look like.
Maybe I'll graft the fenders into the rear with sheetmetal and do something like the Plymouth Prowler headlights except for tails, for those of you who know what those look like
do it but also put like some thin line led's at the back or a line of fire just in case
